The company was started on a restaurant napkin in January 2007 with scribbled ideas and the name 1 Lacrosse.

The founder, Brian DeSpain, was in Beijing, China teaching a lacrosse clinic to the local students. Since the first time he picked up a stick and started playing in Houston, TX, he had the unique opportunity to travel all over the world playing and coaching this great sport. One thing DeSpain noticed during his travels was the unique bond that exists between lacrosse players. This bond is one that transcends culture, race, age, and even language. It was this fascination with this ‘oneness’ in the lacrosse world that inspired him to create a new company that would give back to lacrosse players and help facilitate the growth of the sport.

Since then, 1 Lacrosse has been hard at work creating an exclusive, one-of-a-kind line of quality lacrosse gear and accessories. In every aspect of our business, we have set out to deliver more value to lacrosse players and teams through product innovation.
